How time flies!

Boy how time flies! Sarah is 28 months old already and I don't know how it happened. I mean, just the other day she was this little bitty infant I held in my arms and now, she's this little lady full of attitude! She is the light of my life and I cannot imagine life without her!

We've been having a good summer. I quit work and now stay home with Sarah and we are enjoying it! Sarah is SO attached to me it isn't even funny but I love it! Well, most days I love it. There are some days I just wish she would let someone else do stuff for her. But I wouldn't trade one single solitary minute with this little angel!

 This is one hot little girl, can you tell?!? She was ready to go not too long after leaving the splash park. She had NO nap, was hot, and then rubbed sunscreen in her eyes! She was not a happy camper!!

Don was on vacation the first week of July and we decided to go to the zoo; even though it was like 100 million degrees outside! Okay, so it was only 98 degrees but dang, it was HOT! Sarah enjoyed the zoo but not the heat! Luckily Louisville Zoo has a splash park for kids halfway through the zoo, so Sarah got to cool down. Well actually, I did too! I was helping Sarah get ready to slide down the water slide and some kid dumped a bucket of water on my head!! I was a little mad but then it felt so good, I couldn't be mad anymore! :)

July was not too busy of a month but BOY was it hot! We spent a lot of time inside because it was just too hot to be outside! I'm looking forward to it cooling down a bit so we can spend more time outside.

Fall Vacation....now only 7 more months til we go back!!

Sarah had her first trip on the beach. She was doing just fine, laughing and enjoying it, until the tide washed away the water from under her feet! Then she face-planted and boy was she NOT happy!!

We were waiting on Uncle Nick and soon to be Aunt Jeanie while they shopped in Margaritaville.

Our fun at the Orchard

This past Saturday, we took Sarah to Evans Orchard. She played in the play land and went to the petting zoo. The petting zoo had a red kangaroo, goats, a cow, turtles, llama, and donkeys. Sarah really like the goats; a young guy standing there offered Sarah some carrots so she could feed them but she didn't want to do that. She just looked at them and jabbered up a storm at them. :) After the petting zoo, we walked past the pony rides; Don and I debated about whether Sarah would ride one or not. We decided that we would try (I mean, after all; all we would lose is $4.00 right?!?) and she LOVED it! She just kept grinning and laughing and pointing at the pony's head! It was hilarious! We had a good time and Sarah took a really good nap when we got home! We must have worn the child out! lol

And a new era begins......

Sarah is just about ready to be potty-trained! I am SO ready for her to be out of diapers!!! Although it does make me sad that she will not be a baby anymore; she will be a little lady. She is so proud of herself when she sits on the potty. You would think that she was doing something huge; although I guess she is!! :) I love this little girl with everything in me and I CANNOT imagine life without her!!! Don and my life has been enriched beyond belief with the addition of our little angel!

Sarah and her new friend Jacob had such fun today! Justice and Jacob came over for lunch today and just to hang out. We ate lunch and then we went outside and played in Sarah's kiddie pool. Jacob had such fun!!! He was splashing and jumping around. He and I even had a water fight....not sure I won! lol Sarah didn't know what to do to have someone around to play with. She's such a little angel! She did a good job sharing with Jacob and letting him play with her toys. I've been worrying about her not being a sociable child since she's our only baby. But she is really good with other kids. She plays and shares as if she's had siblings around all the time! I was so proud of her today!! I love my little angel!
